Ingredients
250 g Fresh Options Crispinoy Ilocos Bagnet,
cut into big cubes
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium red onion, sliced
1 tbsp rock salt
4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
1.3 liter water
250 g fresh tamarind
250 g string beans, cut into 2 inches length
1 bunch kangkong leaves
1 small radish, sliced
3 green chili
5 okra, cut into half
Directions
In a medium pot, sauté onion with oil until it becomes translucent. Season with rock salt.
Add
tomatoes and Ilocos Bagnet. Pour water and fresh tamarind.
Cover and let it boil for 20 minutes or until
tamarind softens.
Strain
the tamarind from the pot and extract its juice. Pour the extracted juice back
in the pot. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the string beans, okra, radish, and green
chili. Cook until vegetables are tender.
Turn off heat then add kangkong leaves.
Serve while
hot.
